northeastern tour, part 2

Writers, publishers, literary performers and festival organizers of Ontario's great northeast - I want to meet you.

In early September, I plan to visit Sudbury, North Bay, Haileybury and Timmins to deliver information sessions about the Ontario Arts Council Literature grant programs. If you have ever wondered how one goes about applying for a writing, publishing or organizational grant, I'm the man you want to talk to. Last September, I visited Elliot Lake, Blind River, Thessalon and Sault Ste. Marie, so this will cover much of the other half of the region. And, literary types of northwestern Ontario, please don't feel left out. I am beginning to make plans for a visit to Thunder Bay and environs later in the year.

If you are a writer, publisher, literary performer or festival organizer in or near any of the communities listed above, please contact Gouled Hassan, the OAC's Northeastern Consultant in our Sudbury office. He will be able to let you know definite times and places. If you live on Manitoulin Island and are interested in an info session near you, definitely get ahold of Gouled and we'll do our best to add a date to the tour.

Please share this posting as widely as you can with your friends and colleagues in northeastern Ontario. Send the link out on your e-mail, share it on Facebook, and give it a tweet. See you soon.
