Classic Canadiana in LA Times

(photo by Robert Gauthier, courtesy the Los Angeles Times)

The LA Times has put together an excellent package on the tradition of NHL players taking the Stanley Cup home with them -- wherever home happens to be. In a story by Kurt Streeter and an exceptional photo and audio composition, the Times shows the cup going to Cranbrook, BC with the Niedermayer boys, various places in Saskatchewan with various prairie boys, and even Sweden and Finland. Strangely, it does not go to Romania.

See all the fun here.

So, why am I writing about this? Oh, yeah, that novel thing.
