I had the great pleasure of spending time with Toronto Poet Laureate Dionne Brand the other evening at the Ontario Arts Council's reception with the new provincial Minister of Tourism and Culture, Michael Chan.

Ms. Brand opened the reception with a reading from her forthcoming book, Ossuaries. She held a crowd of over 300 arts professionals spellbound as she filled the lobby of the Four Seasons Centre for the Performing Arts with her voice and verse.
